I'm pleased to introduce you to the original fabric of the Skjoldehamn blanket.
This handwoven pattern was recreated after Norway's famous finding of the 11th-century cloak.
This textile has a wide time frames from the Celtic and Roman periods to the Early Middle Ages.
These colors were chosen by the references to Naturally dyed pallets in the European Middle Ages.
The Reddish pink is the Madder color, and the brown is the buckthorn bark color.
A simple two-tone textile in a square pattern can be used for a historical cape, costume, or cloak for reenactment and living history projects.
Carefully reproduced this fabric on a handloom to make it maximally close to archaeological specimens.
DIMENSIONS:
1 meter of fabric = 100 cm length x 82 cm wide (39″ х 32″)
1 meter of fabric is 330 grams
The Reddish/brown color is a limited edition, only 2,8m in stock.
