Historical and finding description:
The “Greenland Hood” is an important archaeological find from the Norse settlements in Greenland, dating back to the 14th/15th century. It was discovered in 1921 as part of the larger Norse textile finds at Herjolfsnes, an abandoned Norse settlement in southern Greenland.
The hood is made from woolen fabric, showing the advanced textile-making skills of the Norse settlers.
It features a tailored design with a pointed back, similar to medieval European styles as Bocksten hood.
The textiles from Herjolfsnes, including the Greenland Hood, are some of the best-preserved medieval clothing pieces in the world, giving historians a rare glimpse into Viking-era dress.

I'm pleased to introduce you to the original Replica based on the Greenland Hood with a shoulder bag.
The 14th/15th century hood has many different ways of wearing.
An outfit made from the hand-woven twill 2/2 fabric, 100% wool.
It makes it maximally close to archaeological specimens.
All Items are fully handmade, surely handsewn.
The bag is perfect for carrying small items with you at historical events and reenactment festivals.
